Critics in this community should differentiate between "It's good writing but I don't like the style/subject matter" and "It's not good writing." For instance, a story with obvious foreshadowing or formulaic writing is not good writing, whereas a very powerful piece describing people whose actions/characteristics you do not like can be good writing, but not to your taste.
I want people to give positive AND negative feedback here -- not just "It's great!" or "It stinks!". I see a lot of descriptive positive feedback, but not a lot of descriptive negative feedback -- "I like the subject matter but the foreshadowing is SO OBVIOUS", etc. In all likelihood, this community will dissect what's good and what's bad about a piece. I don't necessarily think it's fair to link to others' articles and have this be a "rant space" about it -- I'd rather people post their writing when they are willing to have HONEST feedback about it.
